What organization are you with?: The Hartford Chronicle

Location: Hartford, WI

Biography: I got my start in journalism writing on my high school's newspaper during my sophomore year of high school (2006). During this year, I wrote stories, took pictures, and laid out pages.

The next year (2007), I came back onto the staff as the Opinion Editor. This year was really the first time that I took great interest in page layouts. By the end of the year, I considered myself to be an advanced designer in comparison to my classmates.

This year (2008), I come back as our Feature Editor. I plan on experimenting and testing out different layout techniques and styles, continuing to hone my skills as a graphic designer.

I will be enrolling in college (Ashland University) in Fall 2009, hopefully pursuing a degree in graphic design and/or journalism.
