I've saved a few blogs as drafts -- but then they disappear. Gone. Where do they go, and why isn't there a link that says "drafts" with a number next to it, designating how many you have?

Biography
I am a print journalist with more than 15 years' experience as a news editor, copy editor and copy desk chief. I have worked in California, Hawaii and Japan for various dailies, including the Honolulu Advertiser and Pacific Stars & Stripes in Tokyo. I am now looking to transition into the online media or public relations fields.

Bay Area Newspaper Group: BANG! You're Dead

If you didn't think things could get much worse for the unfortunate souls who work for the Bay Area Newspaper Group ... well, think again. In a bizarre e-mail sent to all company employees on Feb. 19, president and publisher John Armstrong writes that the company is "extending to all employees a one-time voluntary separation opportunity." Getting out of the newspaper business?

Most newspapers have a "morgue," an office or room where old photographs, clips and microfiche are kept. But the term may be just as apt for the rest of the newsroom now that blood-lettings are taking their toll on papers across the country.
