Fun with SND numbers

I'm kinda behind on my reading, but I was looking at the "by the numbers" article on the SND competition website that was breaking down the results -- who won how many, from where, etc.

Here's a different twist o' the database:

12 of the top 50 (size) papers in the U.S. garnered a grand total of 10 awards, according to the database*

Digital castration!

So I went to see the "Our Body: The Universe Within" a national traveling exhibit making a stop here in San Antonio. Fascinating experience -- features actual human bodies preserved by a resin/plastic injection. Quite creepy in many ways.

But even more fasincating was the program they handed you after buying your ticket. It includes something of a miniposter of one of the human body exhibits. Full color glossy of man in all his anatomical correctness.
