Hello Kyle,
I can help yo if you're looking for something about spanish design, not latin (i'm not sure of what looking for because of the comments). Anyway, in Spain we've got a kind of heterogeneous market. You can see some examples of the new national newspaper Publico on http://www.publico.es/estaticos/pdf/, where you can download the PDF's of all its issues.
You can see also some pages of which is, on my opinion, the best designed free newspaper on Spain, ADN, on http://www.adn.es/impresa/diarioadn/
You can also have a lot of frontpages at http://www.hhmmss.com/kiosko/HOY/index.html. They are refreshed everyday.
If you need anything more, just contact me.
Hi Kyle, well i think i'm agree with Alejandro, the use of powerfull color palettes, a very strong photo edition and short, very short stories are the key. In actual times it is more info entertainment than long pulitzer stories, a lot of fast reading with very potential infographics. There is a rule in the most of tabloids newspapers: without photo, there is no note. (But it is very discutible)
I hope it helps you or something, you can ave a better idea of a latin tabloid at: http://www.centrodc.com.mx/
